Feeling drained and exhausted? It's essential to take care of yourself by recharging your energy levels. Start feeling more energised and productive with these simple yet effective tips.
Running low on energy?
Sometimes life can keep us so busy we forget about who we are and what we need to function productively as a spiritual being living a human life.
Rest and relax
A 5- to 10-minute meditation session makes a difference, or take a 30-minute snooze. Play some peaceful music as you meditate quietly for a few minutes, or use your phone to discover a guided meditation on Spotify. You can even treat yourself to a bubble bath or a brief shower if you need something more energising.
After a long day, a nutritious meal or snack is what you need! Avoid foods that make you feel lethargic, such as comfort foods. Instead, eat protein, fruits, veggies, and whole grains to keep your body healthy. These meals will gently release energy into your system, and the feel-good effect of eating well will likely give you a mental boost as well.
Have an exact time to turn off phones, computers and laptops at your home. You must decompress after a stressful day, including turning off your phone for some much-needed "me" time. It's easy to get caught up in checking emails, responding to texts, or getting lost on Facebook or Instagram. Unplug. Please turn your phone off and store it in a drawer in an out-of-the-way location.
It may be instant, like soaking your feet in a footbath or painting your toenails a fun colour. Make a plan and book a massage, hairdresser appointment or checking out that new cafe. Having something nice to look forward to boosts your senses.
These are my thoughts, and this works for me to recharge myself.
