Witches and warlocks have long been seen as wise practitioners of ancient wisdom. While some portrayals in movies and pop culture paint warlocks as dark or dangerous, the truth is far more nuanced and magical. The term itself has many meanings across cultures, but it need not be feared.
Many years ago, one of my dear friends, Mark (who called himself Heron), embraced the title "warlock" with curiosity and a deep love for the earth, magick, potions, and healing. He was a beautiful soul and a reminder that spiritual practice can come in many forms.
