There are many reasons to celebrate the birth of your baby! Around the world, the ways people celebrate vary – from baby showers to naming ceremonies. It's entirely up to you how you want to mark this special occasion. I am trained in ceremonies and rituals, and as a qualified celebrant, I'm blessed to be involved in many naming celebrations.

One celebration that's particularly cherished is the naming ceremony. This non-religious ceremony is a wonderful way to welcome your child into the family.

Naming ceremonies are a flexible and personalised way to celebrate your baby's birth, especially if you don't follow religious traditions. They can be held in any location, whenever you feel comfortable. This special celebration brings together family and friends to welcome your child into our world.
Making Your Ceremony Special
There's no fixed script! Each ceremony is tailored to your family's needs. You can have poems, music, and commitments that reflect your family's style. You can also get creative with activities like a time capsule. If you prefer, I or the guests can do most of the talking, and you can announce 'we promise' to complete the ceremony. The most important thing is to make it stress-free and comfortable for you.
Alternative Celebrations
If a formal ceremony isn't your style, you can make it special in other ways. Some families choose symbolic celebrations, like planting a tree or naming a star after their baby, which are equally magical and unique.
Getting Started with Your Celebration
If you need help determining where to begin, I can guide you through creating the perfect day. After nine months of anticipation, a huge congratulations is in order! Enjoy every moment as your family and friends celebrate your new bundle of joy.
